Kindermusik Our Time

A major task for toddlers, that can confuse parents at first, is resolving the conflict between their passionate desire for closeness to their parents - after all, they are still barely out of babyhood - and their equally fierce drive for independence. Activities such as those in the Kindermusik Our Time curriculum provides toddlers this opportunity. A child can move into the circle during story time and actively participate if he wishes, or he can stay close to Mom or Dad and listen to the story being read. Given this security, most toddlers will naturally move to greater, and more appropriate independence as they approach preschool age.

Our Time

Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self control, and communication skills.

Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object identification fosters language skills. Creative movement to various "moods" develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking encourages blossoming social skills.

  • Age Range - 18 months to 3 years
  • Semester - 4 units, each 15 weeks
  • Class Length - 45 minutes
  • Focus - Building the child's self-esteem.

  • Wiggles & Giggles

    Cock-a-doodle-MOO!Wiggles & Giggles features songs, activities and literature books surrounding the ever exciting themes of taking a bath, animal movements, and love for family and friends.

  • Away We Go!

    DewDropsAway We Go! guides Parents and Child to explore the exciting world of things that go! Singing, dancing and developmentally appropriate activities lead this transportation adventure to the discovery of trains, cars, buses, horses, wagons, airplanes and boats.

  • Milk & Cookies

    FeathersMilk & Cookies empowers the parent to lead the child through familiar, everyday home activities such as cooking, dusting and washing clothes. Baking cookies, eating cupcakes, blowing on hot cross buns, wiggling like jelly, going grocery shopping and making teas are all represented in familiar songs and activities!

  • Fiddle-dee-dee

    Do-Si-DoFiddle-dee-dee takes its name from the beloved folk song about the fly who married the bumblebee and the theme of "fiddling around" is present all throughout the semester. Creatures from the animal kingdom, whether furry, web-footed. winged or whiskered are explored in this unit.
