Not everyone is suitable to be a successful Kindermusik educator. There are certain qualities that you need to possess:

Music Strengths

• Ability to learn and sing on pitch short songs of various styles without musical accompaniment. While many of the songs in Kindermusik's repertoire are familiar (25%), some are new, but easy to learn (55%), and a small portion are more challenging with complex melodies (20%)
  
• Ability to sing in the appropriate range and with a light, high voice quality suitable for young children.
  
• Ability to maintain a steady beat and move expressively to music.
  
• A natural sense of musicianship.

Teaching Skills

• Embrace a passion and respect for the child newborn through 7 years
  
• Exhibit a commitment to the development of the whole child ( physical, social, language, emotional and cognitive development ) through music.
  
• Maintain an energy level sufficient for leading 30-60 minute classes. You will move, sing, interact, play, lead and follow!
  
• Communicate and effectively interact with parents and other adults who are involved in classes and vitally important to the life and development of a child.
  

Entrepreneurial Spirit

• Possess strong belief in your own ability
  
• A self starter
  
• Ability to function independently
  
• Ability to learn quickly new marketing and basic management techniques
